The Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) are proud to present three virtual lecture series from Professor John Haldane.


Series 1: The Catholic Contribution

The aim of The Catholic Contribution series is to understand the nature, development and self-understanding of Roman Catholicism and its contribution to the culture of Europe and beyond, not just historically but through to the present day and into the future.


Series 2: Understanding the Human Person

The aim of the Understanding the Human Person series is to provide a Catholic understanding the human person from a range of perspectives: scientific and philosophical, experiential and aesthetic, moral, social and political, interpersonal and sexual and finally, religious and spiritual.


Series 3: Faith and Reason

In Faith and Reason, Professor John Haldane examines the role of faith and reason in the development of Catholicism, discusses arguments for and against the existence of God from a philosophical perspective and finally examines the role of faith and reason through a Catholic understanding.
