Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited from beginning and experienced teachers to join a team dedicated to achieving engaging learning experiences that challenge children to achieve their personal best. We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking team players who will be able to create curriculum, manage change and support students in a developing environment.

The successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate how they can inspire the children in their care and communicate their passion. 

It is expected that the successful applicant will:

  • be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system and be able to embed these values into their teaching
  • be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic    
  • have knowledge and experience of the Victorian Curriculum, current educational thinking and evidence based learning
  • have an understanding and demonstrated use of evidence based best practice, particularly a strong understanding of the Science of Learning
  • a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
  • be able to communicate frequently and sensitively with families and successfully engage them in the instructional program
  • have the ability to be a collaborative contributor within a team focussed learning community   
  • be able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged
  • have the capacity to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs
  • be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement through a process of reflective practice and feedback
  • be able to embed ICT into classroom practice

Special Requirements:

  Applicants must have: 

• Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (Please include Accreditation Documentation)

• VIT registration (Please include copy of current VIT Registration Card)

• Three professional referees including current Principal.
