Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will:

  • Assist students to develop personal, social and/or independent skills
  • Assist with the planning of learning activities 
  • Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support students to achieve learning and/or social goals
  • Care for and manage students with special learning needs, disabilities and behaviour problems
  • Provide assistance with school routines
  • Create and provide resources for teaching staff to ensure students with learning needs are assisted in the classroom and given the best opportunity for inclusion and success
  • Assist students on an individual or group basis across all levels

The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to:

  • the Catholic Ethos and Principles of Catholic Teaching
  • the school's vision, and motto "Unity is Strength”
  • the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in their care

Certificate III Education Support and a Current Working With Children Check/Police check is required.
