Role Description/Criteria

All learners at St James the Apostle Primary School have the right to feel safe and be safe. The wellbeing of children in our care will always be our first priority. We aim to create a child-safe and child-friendly environment where children are free to enjoy life to the full.
The Deputy Principal role attracts a 3 year contract with an ongoing teaching position.
St James the Apostle Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- a commitment to Catholic education, and an understanding of the leadership role in Catholic education;
- a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children;
- current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching;
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
- relevant leadership experience within the last five years in Catholic parish primary schools, or current experience in a role associated with and supporting Catholic parish primary schools.
