Role Description/Criteria

Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School has an enrolment of approximately 330 students. We are seeking to appoint an Administration/Reception Officer to join our School Community. We require a skilled and innovative Administration/Reception Officer with a passion for working in a school community. We are seeking someone with exceptional communication skills and experience in school based administration and reception services. The position is a fixed term wappointment with the possibility that it may be extended.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • reception services, office management and administrative skills;
  • team-based approach in a collegial environment;
  • experience with school-based digital platforms ie. MS & Google Suite,
  • previous experience with ICON / including efin and esis advantageous
  • ability to negotiate and update social media, school website and assist in publication of school bulletins
  • commitment to the Galilee Regional Catholic Primary School Child Safety Policy and Staff Code of Conduct;
  • commitment to ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture;
  • provide a welcoming and positive demeanour in daily interactions with students, parents and staff
  • assist with First Aid

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to work in a team environment and be able to provide care and support for students, whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.

Special Requirements:

  • First Aid - Level 2 Qualified or prepared to obtain as soon as possible,
  • Current Working with Children Check,
  • National Police Record Check
