Role Description/Criteria
The successful applicant will:
- Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and well-being of young people
- Be committed to working as part of a collaborative team that works together to maximise learning for every student
- Embrace the pedagogical approaches used at St Francis Xavier and be a reflective practitioner
- Have the ability to differentiate and personalise learning to meet the needs of each student, including those with additional needs
- Be open to feedback for growth and act upon it appropriately
- Be prepared to support the broader life of the school, including the Sacramental program, camps and community events
- Have a deep understanding of the principles of Cognitive Science and their application in the classroom
- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and accreditation to teach Religious Education (or be willing to work towards it)
