14 December 2023

Dear colleagues

As we conclude another busy and exciting year across our Catholic schools, I wish to offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks for the enormous contribution you continue to make to the lives of our students, each and every year.

We include in our prayers those students who are graduating from our schools, trusting they are well prepared for the next stage of their lives as confident young people ready to succeed in whatever their chosen path may be, as beacons of faith, hope and love in parishes and communities.

Equally, we look forward to welcoming new staff, students and families to our schools next year, as we continue to guide students through their formative years in primary and secondary education.

Once again, thank you for your significant contribution this year. I wish you, your school communities, and all those close to you a joyous Christmas and a well-deserved break, filled with the love and light of Christ.

Best wishes

Dr Edward Simons
Executive Director of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Melbourne

We too can be the messengers whose footfalls bring light into the world, announcing mercy, bringing joy, offering Good News. God has come among us, simply, humbly and hopefully in a little child, his Son, our Brother. May the peace that comes through this child, the Prince of Peace, be with you this Christmas.

Archbishop Peter A Comensoli
