Research conducted in schools is undertaken on the basis that the findings may assist in improving student outcomes and increasing school effectiveness.

Research in areas beyond the immediate concerns of schools is also conducted when it can be demonstrated that the findings may have a potential benefit for the participants themselves.

Researchers wishing to undertake research in Melbourne Catholic schools should refer to Research in Catholic Schools and Access to Data.
