Role Description/Criteria

Killester College is seeking a suitably qualified and passionate professional to lead the Finance, Business Operations and Administration areas of the College.

Killester College is a Catholic Girls School in Springvale and a Kildare Education Ministries College in the Brigidine tradition. Kildare Ministries, our governing entity, has civil and canonical responsibility for ten schools and two community works.

At Killester we are dedicated to ensuring students have access to a well-rounded Catholic education that develops 21st century thinking skills. It is our belief that all young people should have every opportunity to excel and explore in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages them to question rather than just accept. We strive to build and maintain an environment where young people's voices are heard and respected. Our overall aim is that, at the completion of their studies at Killester, students will leave prepared to challenge the status quo, fight for just causes, know their own true worth and embody the principles of Kildare Ministries and our College.

The successful candidate will have the required skills and qualifications, and will demonstrate:

  • An extensive understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of Killester College and Kildare Education Ministries, as expressed in the Living Justice; Living Peace Charter and the College Values, Mission and Vision Statements
  • Capacity to lead improvement and change processes according to the College’s vision, mission and strategic direction
  • A comprehensive understanding of the College’s policies and procedures
  • A sound knowledge of accounting practices
  • Some knowledge of school building requirements
  • Relevant experience leading business, human operations and administrative areas
