Role Description/Criteria

We own, govern and operate approximately 300 Catholic schools, employ over 16,000 staff and serve more than 112,000 students and their families in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. YOUR ROLE

MACS is seeking a Director, Catholic Mission and Identity to boldly lead and oversee the curation, commissioning and delivery of high-quality programs and services to support schools to strengthen their Catholic Mission and Identity.

MACS is moving through an organisational transformation as it progresses its 2030 strategic plan to deliver outstanding Catholic education, one that fosters the formation of the whole person and equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and optimism to go forward, live meaningful lives and enrich the world.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished Mission Leader who has a deep knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and can demonstrate a track record of evangelising in contemporary settings.

The successful candidate will also have the relevant experience and demonstrate authenticity and a compelling vision to supervise and support the MACS Catholic Mission and Identity team. This role will also oversee the Religious Education learning area and drive the religious formation and culture for all staff whilst contributing to the ongoing performance and development of Principals, Religious Education Leaders, Teachers and all support staff.
