About Penola Catholic College
Penola Catholic College is a co-educational college for students from years 7-12 with two campuses in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. College campuses are situated in Glenroy, which caters for years 7 and 8, and the senior campus in Broadmeadows that features years 9 to 12 and a total college enrolment of approximately 1,400 students.
We provide students with real life learning opportunities and experiences that will prepare them for the “business of living”.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Woodwind teacher to join our dynamic and passionate music team. The successful candidate will be expected to start in Term 3 2025.
You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
You must be able to:
- Commit to approx 2-2.5 days per week during school hours and term.
- Occasional out of hours work for events.
- Private lessons for students across all woodwind instruments (scheduled day/s flexible).
- Co-teaching the Year 7 classroom music program (all-day Tuesday).
- Co-conducting both the Junior and Senior Concert Bands with our Brass instructor
- Admin tasks as required.
- Travel between our junior and senior campuses
Applications must have a current Working with Children’s Check and Police Check (or willing to obtain) or a VIT registration.
Rate of pay is $80 per h our (as of June 2025)
