Role Description/Criteria

Applications are invited from innovative educators, who have a sound knowledge of current 'best practices'.

The successful applicant will be fully committed to working closely within their professional learning team, have a knowledge and understanding on Explicit Instruction and the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model in Literacy and Mathematics teaching, and be able to differentiate the curriculum to the needs of all students. A sound understanding of delivering a systematic synthetic phonics program, preferably Little Learners Love Literacy, is desirable.

The successful applicant must have effective open communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate excellence in planning, documentation, and reporting.

The successful applicant will require:

  • the ability to promote the importance of Education in Faith in our Catholic community
  • accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic school
  • a current VIT registration
  • a commitment to child safety and knowledge of the Child Safety Standards
  • knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and Key Curriculum Knowledge Learning
  • the ability to work in partnership in the areas of planning and the implementation of learning based on students' needs and interests.
