Role Description/Criteria

An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished and experienced Learning Support Officer to join the College at the start of the 2026 school year.

The Learning Support Officer assists students with specific learning needs to achieve success with their studies in a mainstream setting. They are responsible for supporting the subject teacher in the delivery of educational programs to students with additional learning needs, ensuring that these students have access to and participate fully in learning activities.

?Required experience and proficiency will include:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or hold a Certificate III in Education Support
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience within an education setting
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A thorough understanding of Child Safety requirements and the ability to promote the safety, well-being and inclusion of all children
  • Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with students, families, school staff and other services
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Current Victorian Working with Children Check and a clear Police Check
