Role Description/Criteria
Applications are sought for the position of Student Transition Coordinator - POL 3 - 2026 for the period 27 January 2026 to 26 January 2029. It has a teaching load and is in conjunction with an ongoing teaching appointment.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Our Core values explicitly state that at Padua College ‘we welcome and affirm.’ Transition processes and policy must reflect the action of this core value. The role of Transition Coordinator ensures we act as witness to the teachings of Jesus, who provided example of true hospitality and welcome.
Padua College recognises that transition is an essential element of College life that needs careful and explicit consideration, with planning and communication at the forefront of the success of all transition. Current and evolving practice around transition for all students and families new to the College must be consistently reviewed, adjusted where necessary and consolidated in order to continue best practice in this area.
The Student Transition Coordinator reports directly to the Vice Principal - Students, through the Heads/Directors of Campus.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Student Transition Coordinator's major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
i. Demonstrating leadership that exemplifies Padua College Mission and Vision.
ii. Coordinating the effective and appropriate transition of students to the College.
iii. Creating and maintaining relationships with Parish and other Partnership Primary Schools.
iv. Responsibility for administration and communication.
v. Performing other duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.
Teachers are supported by the Learning Leaders, the Assistant Heads of Campus (Learning and Pedagogy), Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus), and the Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) across the College in the development, implementation, and teaching of the curriculum.
They are also supported by the House Coordinators, Assistant Heads of Campus (Student Wellbeing and Growth), the Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus) and the Vice Principal – Students, in the pastoral care and discipline of students, as well as the smooth and effective management of classes.
SALARY REMUNERATION: According to the CEMEA 2022, $79,589.00 - $118,063.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. POL 3 is $9,629.00 per annum.
