The Opportunity

Part time (0.8) -  fixed term position January to December 2026

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our team at our Glendalough campus. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting both staff and students during class time, providing tailored assistance that enables all learners to thrive.

Support will be delivered in various settings, including one-on-one sessions and small group work, depending on individual student needs.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Officer, you will assist in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with teaching staff and the Learning Diversity team to ensure all students are supported in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers and the Learning Diversity team to understand and implement individualised support strategies based on each student’s learning needs.
  • Support students in-class through one-on-one or small group assistance.
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain records of support provided.
  • Participate in Program Support Group (PSG) meetings and contribute to the development and review of student learning plans.
  • Interpret and utilise assessment data to inform and adapt support strategies.

About You:

You have previous experience in a similar role and the ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisation.
