The Opportunity
St Kevin's College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Diversity Teacher to join our Learning Diversity team. This role would suite an educator who is passionate about inclusive teaching, pastoral care and helping students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Reporting to the Director of Teaching this position will be key in reviewing, developing and improving teaching curriculum and learning support for students across Years 7-12. Working collaboratively with staff, students and families, ensuring each student receives the support they need to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver adjusted curriculum tailored to diverse student needs.
- Apply strong working knowledge of additional needs, the Disability Discrimination Act and the Disability Standards for Education to implement meaningful learning adjustments.
- Complete the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) for students with disability.
- Coordinate and document meetings, including minute-taking, to ensure NCCD compliance.
- Develop personalised learning plans, records and support documents.
- Facilitate PSG (Program Support Group) meetings, including after school hours where required.
About You
You have experience in secondary teaching and are equipped in supporting students with specific learning needs. Your strong working knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education, and the NCCD provides you with the skillset needed to meet successfully fulfill this position.
