Role Description/Criteria

St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.

St Columba’s College is seeking a suitably experienced Instrumental Music Specialist – Clarinet to deliver high-quality instrumental tuition and contribute to the life of the College’s music program. This is a casual position working Mondays and Tuesdays due to the Year 7 Instrumental Music Program.

You will:

  • Deliver individual clarinet lessons to students
  • Prepare students for AMEB and VCE examinations
  • Support College music events, including Graduation, College Masses and Assemblies
  • Contribute to ensemble programs as required

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience teaching clarinet across a range of year levels
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare students for AMEB and VCE performance examinations
  • Knowledge of a range of musical techniques and genres
  • Experience in VCE instruction and/or ensemble direction (desirable)
  • Commitment to girls’ education and student development
