Role Description/Criteria

An opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic Percussion Tutor to join our Performing Arts team in a casual capacity from Monday, 17 August to Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
Applicants must be available on Mondays and Tuesdays to support the College's Year 7 Instrumental Music Program.
About the role
The successful applicant will:
- Deliver five Year 7 percussion group lessons each week.
- Provide individual percussion and drum kit tuition.
- Direct the College Percussion Ensemble.
- Assist with the Jazz Band ensemble on Tuesdays (3.10pm – 4.30pm).
About you
You will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to supporting girls' education through high-quality instrumental music teaching.
- Have experience preparing students for AMEB and VCE Music performance examinations.
- Possess knowledge of a broad range of percussion techniques, styles and musical genres.
- Have experience directing ensembles or be willing to develop this capability.
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check (VIT registration is preferred but not essential).
Current VMTA rates will apply.
