Kolbe Catholic College is a co-educational Year 7 to 12 school located across two vibrant campuses in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, St Clare of Assisi Campus in Greenvale and St Catherine of Bologna Campus in Mickleham. Position Overview

As a Learning Support Officer (LSO), you will play a vital role in supporting students and assisting teachers to deliver effective, inclusive learning experiences. You will provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs, working closely with teachers, families, and specialist staff to ensure every student can access the curriculum and thrive.

  • Location: Multiple positions across St Catherine (Mickleham) and St Clare (Greenvale) Campus'.
    Tenure: Part-time, Fixed term. 
  • Starting date: 27 January 2027
  • Classification: Education Support Officer, Category B, Level 2

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to students with diverse academic, physical, behavioural, or social-emotional needs.
  • Support teachers in implementing adjustments and accommodations outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assist students to access classroom learning and participate meaningfully in school activities.
  • Reinforce teaching and learning activities through small-group or one-on-one instruction.
  • Support literacy, numeracy, and other intervention programs.
  • Prepare or adapt learning materials and resources under teacher guidance.
  • Observe and record student progress, engagement, and behaviour to inform planning.
  • Maintain accurate NCCD documentation and electronic student records.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, transitions, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students during school activities and assessments as required.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing, and preparing meeting notes.
