28 January 2021

St Joseph's werribeeFollowing the disruptions experienced by students, teachers and families last year, 2021 has begun with a renewed sense of optimism.

Catholic schools around Melbourne are opening their doors to begin a new year of learning. It’s a particularly exciting time for the newest school in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Werribee, has been completed to serve the educational needs of families in Melbourne’s growing western region.

An upcoming highlight of Term 1 is Catholic Education Week. Events during the week include the Mass of St Patrick for Schools, Creative Arts Exhibition, Young Speakers Colloquium, Concert in the Park and a special welcome event for our newest teachers. Details about how schools can participate in events will be announced closer to the date in line with COVIDSafe protocols. Term 1 also marks the beginning of a year celebrating 200 years of Catholic education in Australia. ‘Faith in the future’ is the theme for the year-long celebration.
