New multi-use hall at St Anthony’s School, Melton South5 May 2022

A new multi-use hall has increased the opportunities for students and community at St Anthony’s School, Melton South.

Following a tour led by school leaders Ruth and Chayanne, the Victorian Government’s representative for the seat of Melton, Steve McGhie, officially opened the new hall in front of a selection of student leaders. Parish priest Fr Fabian Smith blessed the new space, which has been carefully designed to support teaching and learning for both physical education and performing arts.

‘The hall has transformed our community by providing us with a communal space that we can enjoy, that our community can enjoy, and provides extra support for our students’, said principal Damien Schuster. ‘The hall has also given us a chance to showcase some of the great things this school can do and has done, not only in PE but also in performing arts.’

St Anthony’s School is looking forward to the first time the entire school is able to celebrate an assembly together in the new space. Construction for the hall was made possible with a grant from the state government.
