The Junior Robotics Team at Aquinas College, Ringwood, has won a VEX Robotics state championship.

The robotics program at Aquinas involves a co-curricular club that is open to all students, every day at recess and lunch. It is a great opportunity for like-minded peers to come together, and create and learn something they love. The junior team, made up of Year 8 students, was awarded the Teamwork award for the highest scoring robot run, as well as Excellence awards for their journal and public speaking skills. The students secured their first blue banner as state champions for the 2021 season.

Four teams represented Aquinas College at this year’s championship. The teams are excited to design and build new robots for the 2022–23 season.
