MacKillop Education’s new campus at Caulfield was officially opened last week after being in operation since 2020 and already at capacity with 44 students.

Operated by MacKillop Family Services, MacKillop Education provides a safe and supportive school environment that caters for children and young people who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from education. 

Along with the new Caulfield campus, MacKillop Education has campuses at Maidstone (Years 3–6) and Geelong (Foundation – Year 12), continuing the proud tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, the Sisters of St Joseph and Edmund Rice Education Australia, and their commitment to equity and access to learning for all children and young people.

Guests at the opening toured the new campus and viewed plans for further expansion and upgraded facilities for senior students through the construction of a VCE centre planned for 2024.

Special guests included Dr Robyn Miller, CEO of MacKillop Family Services, Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah MP, Member for Higgins, and Angela Alibrando, Campus Principal, who together unveiled the memorial plaque.

Speakers highlighted the care and quality of education provided for students, along with ongoing support offered to parents and carers. They also acknowledged strong partnerships with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), the Department of Education and other organisations that assisted with the development of the new facilities, further enriching learning outcomes for students.
