Principal of St Richard’s Primary School, Kilsyth, Marcus Gill, was joined by Parish Priest Fr Joseph Lu Xin and representatives from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) to open the school’s new $2.3 million building.
Reflecting the contemporary Catholic educational offering available at St Richard’s Primary School, the building works provided a new STEM hub, general learning areas and improved arts facilities. The works also saw the expansive grounds opened up and new landscaping.
According to Mr Gill, the new building means ‘St Richard’s is a school of choice in the eastern region, offering great learning opportunities and initiatives for students’.
The building works were supported by a $1.65 million grant from the Victorian Government, and contributions from the local community and MACS.
