The community at St Mary’s School, Dandenong, has celebrated completion of their building works with a special blessing of the new spaces.

Comprising classrooms and administration spaces, the development has breathed new life into a school that has been providing education for the Catholic families in Dandenong for over 100 years.

‘These works are about ensuring the future of learning at our school and preparing our students to take their place in the world’, said Principal Terry Gardiner. ‘We’ve worked really hard to make sure we teach the whole child and the works on our school have made sure that everyone is achieving success.’

The school community was joined by Parish Priest Fr Brendan Lane and Member for Dandenong, the Hon Gabrielle Williams, for the celebrations. The school is thankful for the support of the Capital Program Delivery team from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), as well as the $2 million grant from the Victorian Government.
