We couldn’t be prouder: 27 MACS schools in Victoria’s Top 100
22 May 2026
Herald Sun analysis has shown 27 Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) schools featured in Victoria’s Top 100 non-government primary schools, highlighting a standout system-wide performance.
The result reflects the strength and consistency of our schools, as well as the impact of Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement in supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
We’re also proud that MACS schools continue to deliver strong academic results while remaining deeply connected to their communities, and grounded in faith and a values-based education.
This achievement reflects the outstanding commitment of principals, teachers and staff, and the strong partnerships our schools have with families. It also reinforces Catholic education as a high-performing and accessible sector compared with many independent schools with much higher fee structures.
The 27 schools are spread across a range of suburbs, demonstrating consistent performance across diverse communities.
