The Mornington Peninsula has inspired the creativity of the young musicians at Padua College, who have just released an album of original songs titled Unfolding Stories. As part of their VCE VET Music studies, students have studied song writing and audio production in addition to performing at countless gigs around their community.

Recorded in the school’s studio, Unfolding Stories is a series of songs that give you a perspective into the way this group of teenagers see their lives developing. Head of Music at Padua College and producer of the album, Mark Mannock says, ‘You won’t hear something like this very often, strong songs written by school age young people telling their own stories in their own way. This largely acoustic album celebrates not only the creativity of our students but also their willingness to share their ‘unfolding stories’.’

‘I liked the encouragement and the experience of writing and producing’ stated Year 11 student Chloe Kirkpatrick, ‘it was great to hear the final result that you tried so hard to achieve.’

‘The album is not conventional, and it's not the expected. It's Padua College put together in a neat little plastic case, and I am so proud to be a part of it’ said singer-songwriter Jade Nye.

Unfolding Stories is now available from each of Padua College’s three campuses for $10.00 plus postage and handling.
