Congratulations and best wishes to Year 12 students
12 December 2022
Around 11,000 graduates of 61 Catholic schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne have received their Year 12 results today.
‘On behalf of the Catholic education community, we congratulate the Year 12 class of 2022 and offer our best wishes to them, their families and teachers, as they receive their results today’, Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) Acting Executive Director Dr Edward Simons said.
‘This cohort of students, with their teachers, has demonstrated incredible dedication and resilience after having over two years of their schooling disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘However, while extremely challenging, I’m confident these experiences will stand the students in good stead as they embark on their next life steps and beyond.’
Dr Simons said it is important for students to remember that an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is not the ‘be all and end all’, and that there are multiple pathways available to pursue their preferred courses and career paths.
‘We trust that graduates from our Catholic schools feel well-prepared to move on to the next stage of their lives as confident, well-rounded young people ready to succeed in their studies and careers, and be beacons of leadership, justice and service in their parishes and communities’, he said.
A reminder that students can access their Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) applications via https://vtac.edu.au to add or change courses up until 4.00 pm on Wednesday 14 December for consideration in first-round offers to be released on Wednesday 21 December.
