Role Description/Criteria
Role consists of:
- Completing formal and informal occupational therapy assessment for students aged 5-12 years to support intervention.
- Implementing appropriate occupational therapy intervention for students at an individual, small group or whole class level within the school environment.
- Working collaboratively with the school team including teachers, learning support officers and other allied health members to develop personalised learning plans and implement classroom strategies.
- Providing support to student's families or carers related to their child's goals through direct or indirect means (e.g meetings and developing/providing resources).
- Delivering education sessions for parents and/or staff at the school when appropriate.
- Supporting development of school policies and procedures which relate to occupational therapy specific services, planning and delivery.
- Maintaining appropriate records and relevant documentation in student files.
- Maintaining therapy resources in conjunction with other staff.

Special Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
- Eligibility for membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
