Role Description/Criteria

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, Catholic Education Melbourne’s lighthouse school for Positive Behaviours for Learning, is searching for passionate educators experienced in, or eager to explore, the Science of Learning. Sponsorship opportunities available for suitably qualified international candidates under Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS). Salary range (pro rata of) $78,801 to $116, 894.

Applicants are asked to demonstrate experience in the following:

  • an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
  • an understanding and demonstrated use of evidence based best practice, particularly a strong understanding of the Science of Learning
  • a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
  • an understanding and experience with PBL (an advantage)
  • the ability to collaborate, support and contribute to the building of a professional learning culture
  • the willingness to adhere to St Francis of Assisi's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
  • a commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
