Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic classroom teachers to form part of our staff team for 2026. The successful applicants must demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children.

We also welcome Graduates / PTT and Part time applicants. 

Role Description

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a collaborative, vibrant and dynamic Catholic school. In 2026 we will be in our sixth year of operation and warmly welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as graduates to join our growing community. 

We are in search of teachers who are committed to:

  • Delivering learning in ways that suit each child’s stage of learning, following MACS guidelines, including Vision for Instruction & Vision for Engagement
  • Using assessment to inform and improve teaching

Key Selection Criteria:

Please elaborate on your experience and/or understanding of the following areas:

  • A commitment to Catholic education
  • Successful approaches to student wellbeing in the classroom and school community
  • Knowledge and implementation of the current Child Safety Standards
  • Contributing to a collaborative, positive and team-based learning culture 
  • Delivering high quality learning and teaching to a range of educational abilities, using evidence-based strategies, including the use of data and feedback.

Applicants will:

  • Be appropriately qualified and hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (or working towards registration)
  • Have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation (advantageous)

  1. A completed Application for Employment Form (see attached)
  2. A Cover Letter that addresses the Key Selection Criteria 
  3. A Curriculum Vitae that includes 3 nominated referees, one of which must be the current Principal
