Role Description
Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for fixed term position(s) (9am - 3pm Monday - Friday) as a Learning Support Officer to commence in Term 3 (date to be negotiated).
The successful applicants will have demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
The successful applicants will possess the skills and abilities to provide support under the direction of teacher(s) or leaders, to students and will embrace a team-based approach to their role.
The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm, contribute to the life of the community and have the ability to provide the necessary care and support for students whilst respecting the ethos of the school.
Special Requirements
- Applicants must have a current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
- The successful applicants will have completed a certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support, or equivalent and had relevant experience working with young students with disabilities and learning needs.
- The successful applicant will have had experience working with ASD students.
- Experience in administration and strong ICT skills is favourable.
- Candidates must have a current First Aid certificate or be willing to undertake a First Aid Training Course.
