Role Description/Criteria
A highly motivated teacher is required to join our teaching team at St Joseph’s as a full-time classroom teacher commencing term 4, 2025.
Salary will be based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).
It is essential that the successful applicant embraces inquiry-based pedagogy that is personalised in a child-centred learning environment; and possesses a sound knowledge of and ability to implement a contemporary pedagogy that is engaging and motivating.
The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to:
- use data to drive student learning and inform best practice
- assess students’ current learning needs and provide an engaging program to inform future direction
- establish meaningful relationships with students whilst creating an inclusive vibrant classroom
- work collaboratively and enthusiastically with his/her peers.
Skills/Experience required:
? Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
? A commitment to Catholic education.
? An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and
colleagues.
? An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for
the needs of all students.
? An eagerness to learn.
? An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support
student learning.
Special Requirements:
? St Joseph's promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful
applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment
for children.
? The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
? Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
