Role Description/Criteria

Whitefriars College is a Catholic boys' school in the Carmelite tradition. We are seeking to appoint a Careers & Further Education Advisor, with the position commencing in 2026.

At Whitefriars College, career development supports students in achieving their career and further education aspirations. The Careers & Further Education Advisor plays a key role in connecting students’ current learning with future employment, education, and life opportunities. The College recognises that students are more engaged, inspired, and empowered to take ownership of their futures when they understand the relevance of their learning.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching, the Careers & Further Learning Advisor manages the provision of a comprehensive career development service in line with the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) and the Australian Centre for Career Education Professional Standards.

The Advisor educates, counsels, and supports students in exploring future pathways, providing information and resources to assist them in planning their post-school direction. They also develop and implement a career development program aligned with professional standards, ensuring students are equipped to make informed decisions about their learning, careers, and life opportunities.

This is an ongoing part-time appointment, commencing in Term 1, 2026.
