Classroom Teacher Position (Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and innovative classroom teacher to join our school in 2026. The successful applicant will embrace a culture of high expectations, thrive within a dynamic and caring professional community, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to fostering the holistic development of students in a Catholic educational context.

Commencement: 27 January 2026
Applicants should demonstrate:
- a commitment to evidence-based best practices, with experience in or capacity to enact explicit and direct instruction approaches/strategies
- an understanding of Structured Literacy
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
- the ability to use student assessment information to inform whole-class and targeted small group instruction
- the ability to promote student wellbeing and engagement
- the capacity to build and maintain professional, respectful, and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- a firm commitment to Catholic education
- familiarity with and adherence to the school’s child-safe policy and code of conduct, as well as all other policies relating to child safety
Special Requirements:
- accreditation to teach in a Catholic school, or a willingness to obtain accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school
- current VIT registration (or eligibility for graduates)
