Role Description/Criteria
Applicants will possess the skills and abilities to foster home-school partnerships, build trusting relationships with students and families and work collaboratively with staff to personalise the learning for at-risk students. The successful applicant will have an understanding and working knowledge of NCCD and the requirements to fulfil this annually in collaboration with the existing Learning Diversity Leader.
The leadership position will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of 2027, with an opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing teaching employment at the school.
Applicants are asked to demonstrate experience in the following:
- developing and maintaining respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
- a working knowledge of the NCCD and how to effectively meet the requirements and evidence gathering required for funding
- familiar with the principles of the Science of Learning
- leading professional development in line with the School’s strategic plan and meeting the diverse needs of staff
- an understanding of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the implementation of this to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments
- working effectively with school staff to support students who have additional learning needs to access learning through planned adjustments and/or learning programs
- organising and facilitating Program Support Group (PSG) meetings
- maintaining accurate records and tracking the progress of students with specific learning needs
Special requirements:
- further study or post-graduate qualifications an advantage
