Role Description/Criteria
An exciting opportunity is available to be a part of this dynamic team of educators in our supportive school community.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers with varying levels of experience for the following position to commence duties on Tuesday 27th January 2026. Graduates are welcome to apply and we are also interested in interviewing teachers of varying levels of experience. There is potential for this to be a 0.8 FTE 4 day per week position if it suited the individual circumstances of the successful applicant.
This is a 12-month full time teaching position which has strong potential to be extended into an ongoing position.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- a passion for teaching
- the ability to work within a team
- a strong commitment to Catholic Identity
- an ability to be an enthusiastic and committed team member
- an ability to motivate and engage students in purposeful learning situations
- an understanding of Victorian Curriculum and current curriculum initiatives
- a sound understanding of AITSL Standards and how they relate to contemporary learning practices
St Bernadette’s school community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
Applicants require:
- VIT Registration including current National Police History Check
- Accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School or willingness to undertake further study in the future
- Suitable qualifications and experiences in the classroom
- Understanding of Child Safe Practice
