Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking an expert classroom teacher and possible POL to join our vibrant and dedicated school team. This is a full time position with the possibility of a key leadership position, central to driving school improvement and excellence across the school.

Whilst the successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school, the Leader position will initially be offered as a two year fixed term position with the possibility of renewal.

In this key role, you will:

  • A commitment to explicit teaching that is innovative, enthusiastic and focused on ensuring improved student outcomes 
  •  A strong ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships
  • A commitment to professional learning and improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal/Learning and Teaching Leader to shape and implement a contemporary, student-centred curriculum aligned with the MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement.
  • Lead the development and refinement of high-impact teaching practices informed by the Science of Learning, driving improved student outcomes.
  • Inspire and mentor staff, cultivating a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and innovation.
  • Champion the wellbeing, safety, and holistic development of every student through a commitment to inclusive and high-quality learning and teaching.

We are looking for a passionate Catholic leader who demonstrates:

  • A deep commitment to the mission, identity, and ethos of Catholic education.
  • Proven experience in instructional leadership and curriculum development.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and build strong relationships.
  • A clear, strategic vision for learning that positively impacts student achievement and school improvement.
  • Accreditation to Teach and Lead in a Catholic school or willingness to gain

Special Requirements

  • Demonstrated recent success and experience in a school leadership position
  • Current VIT registration, including a valid Police Check
  • Commitment to demonstrating Child Safe Standards
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Willingness to participate in school events and meetings both during and outside of regular school hours, as required
