Role Description/Criteria
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Officer, you will work closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs. You will play a key role in helping students reach their full potential – academically, socially, and emotionally – in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Qualities We’re Looking For:
- Provide in-class and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt learning materials and strategies
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Support the school's Catholic ethos and commitment to student wellbeing
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Learning Support or Teacher Aide role
- A warm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or working towards) is desirable
- A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
Requirements:
- Relevant LSO qualification or equivalent experience
- Current Working With Children Check
