Role Description/Criteria

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Officer, you will work closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs. You will play a key role in helping students reach their full potential – academically, socially, and emotionally – in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Qualities We’re Looking For:

  • Provide in-class and small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt learning materials and strategies
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Support the school's Catholic ethos and commitment to student wellbeing

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Learning Support or Teacher Aide role
  • A warm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or working towards) is desirable
  • A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)

Requirements:

  • Relevant LSO qualification or equivalent experience
  • Current Working With Children Check
