Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the full-time position of Classroom Teacher. The position commences on the 27 January 2026. Please note graduate and early career teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful applicant will:

  • have a demonstrated commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic school
  • possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
  • have a knowledge of the Explicit Instruction approach to learning and teaching and the Science of Learning
  • embrace a collegial team-based approach to teaching and learning
  • demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • possess the ability to use data to inform teaching and learning
  • effectively monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas,
  • build positive supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Child Safety.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. All teachers are welcome to apply and will be supported to understand and enact the Catholic ethos.

Applicants should hold:

  • current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is an advantage.
