Role Description/Criteria
We are looking for a school leader who demonstrates the capacity to build nurturing, professional relationships with students, staff and parents. They must be open to professional growth and learning and have the capacity to provide targeted support, mentoring and feedback to staff. Applicants must possess highly developed administrative and communication skills.
Applicants must have a current VIT registration. Experience working in a Catholic school setting is an advantage. Applicants with a current VCEA Accreditation to Teach in Catholic School (or interstate equivalent) are preferred.
Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Proven expertise in explicit teaching, high-impact strategies, and the application of Science of Learning principles.
- Ability to build staff capacity through coaching, collaboration, and targeted professional learning.
- Skilled in data analysis and able to use evidence effectively to guide improvement.
- Highly developed communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos, mission, and vision of the school.

This must include:
- cover letter introducing yourself and outlining your interest in the Co-Deputy Principal position at St Mary of the Cross. In addition to demonstrating your suitability for the role, please ensure your application addresses the key responsibilities and key selection criteria outlined in the Position Description. Your application should be no longer than two pages.
-current resume with at least three nominated referees, this must include your 2 most recent principals.
