Role Description/Criteria
St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).
Our College is located on three metropolitan campuses in Epping and Reservoir and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat. Epping campuses are walking distance from each other and the Epping train station.
A vacancy exists for a part time Speech Pathologist. This is a permanent position commencing Tuesday, 27 January 2026. This part time position can be either 2 days or 3 days per week.
Candidates must have the ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogies.
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor/Masters of Speech Pathology
- A strong commitment to Catholic Education
- Demonstrated experience in delivering speech therapy in a school setting
- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- An ability to work collaboratively as a member of a supportive Learning Diversity Team
- Proven experience in providing Speech Pathology services for students with Developmental Language Disorders (DLD) and Intellectual Disabilities or other comorbid conditions
- Skills across a wide range of tasks including assessments, planning, intervention, report writing and resource preparation
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and the capacity to reflect critically upon professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct student assessments
- Provide either individual or small group therapy sessions.
- Build the capacity of Teachers and Learning Support Officers to support the language development of students
- Build the capacity of parents to support the development of their children at home
- Provide support and advice to parents and staff as required
- Other duties as directed by the Principal.

- The successful applicant will be a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia
- The successful applicant will be required to have or undergo both a Working with Children Check and a Police Check

Salary for this position is based on experience in accordance with the Speech Pathologists scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA) as varied from time to time.
