St Joseph’s Elsternwick is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic learning community in 2026. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Prep to Year 6 through rich and engaging visual arts experiences that nurture imagination, skill, and self-expression.

The role is 0.66 FTE, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (full days) and Friday 9.00am–11.00am (planning, may be completed offsite).

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is passionate about art education and fostering creativity in every child.
  • Demonstrates excellence in curriculum planning and delivery in line with the Victorian Arts Curriculum.
  • Creates inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments.
  • Values strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
  • Actively supports the Catholic ethos and values of our school.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • A sound understanding of effective and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
