Visual Arts Teacher (P–6)

Part-time | FTE 0.6 or 0.8 (depending on successful candidates' preference)
Commencing Tuesday 27 January 2026

St Mary of the Cross is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic learning community in 2026. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Prep to Year 6 through rich and engaging visual arts experiences that nurture imagination, skill, and self-expression. At St Mary of the Cross, we are proud to provide a vibrant specialist program that encourages creativity and expression. The successful applicant will join a dedicated, collaborative staff team committed to excellence in teaching and learning within a nurturing Catholic community.

The role is 0.6 or 0.8 FTE, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and potentially Thursday (full days).

We are looking for a teacher who:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • A sound understanding of effective and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
