Role Description/Criteria
St Joseph’s Primary School Boronia is seeking applicants to join our dedicated team of professionals as our Learning Diversity Leader starting in 2026. This role is a part time role (FTE .4) with the option of flexible working days and hours. The successful applicant would begin at the start of Term 1 in 2026, however we would arrange opportunities for a hand over from the current LDL if interested.
We are looking for the right person to continue the current great work in this area and to provide leadership, innovation and drive to support students and teachers across all year levels as we strive to provide the best education possible for each child.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities to foster home-school partnerships, build trusting relationships with students and families and work collaboratively with staff to personalise the learning for students who require adjustments and support.
The Learning Diversity Leader will work in collaboration with the school leadership team, teachers and Learning Support Staff to create the conditions for effective teaching practice to promote improved student learning outcomes and student engagement.
Previous leadership experience is desirable but not essential, new applicants to this role would be provided training and ongoing support.
It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- a commitment to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system
- be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic
- a commitment to professional learning and ongoing improvement through a process of reflective practice and feedback
- a working knowledge of the NCCD and how to effectively meet the requirements and evidence gathering required for funding (ongoing PD provided)
- an ability to work collaboratively with school staff to support students who have additional learning needs to access learning through planned adjustments, targeted programs and/or learning interventions
- an ability to support teachers in the use and analysis of student outcomes data to inform learning and teaching
- an ability to support and assist with professional learning of teachers, particularly in relation to differentiation, learning adjustments and inclusive practices within classes
- an ability to organise and facilitate Program Support Group (PSG) meetings and accurately record and distribute minutes to relevant parties
- an ability to support staff to maintain accurate records and track the progress of students with specific learning needs to inform PLPs
- an ability to work collaboratively with the school’s leadership team and external providers
- an ability to support LSO’s, including providing opportunities to meet and develop professionally
- an ability to co-ordinate with external allied health professionals and maintain accurate and up to date records of onsite therapists
