Role Description/Criteria
We are currently seeking a full time, senior Mathematics teacher commencing Term 1, 2026. Experience teaching Math Methods is required.
This is a re-advertised role, previous applications need not apply.
Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

Job Description:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Creating a child-safe environment for students.
· Adhering to the school's Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.
· Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Directors of Students, to monitor student progress and well-being.
· Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.
· Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.
· Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.
· Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.
· Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.
· Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.
· Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.
· Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.
Skills/Experience Required:
We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:
· Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
· A strong commitment to Catholic education.
· Experience teaching Math Methods is required.
· Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
· Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
· An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.
· Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.
Special Requirements:
At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount. Therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
The successful applicant must hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration. While accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
