Role Description/Criteria

23 hours per week, flexible days
Commencing Term 2, 2026

At St Kevin’s Primary School, our library is more than a room filled with books. It is a vibrant, welcoming space where curiosity is sparked, relationships are built and learning comes to life.

The Role

Working closely with our leadership and teaching teams, you will:

  • Support students and staff in accessing and using library resources
  • Manage cataloguing, circulation and maintenance of the collection
  • Assist with digital resources and learning technologies
  • Help maintain an organised, inviting and productive learning space
  • Support the supervision of students within the library
  • Contribute to displays, promotions and initiatives that foster a love of reading
  • Undertake general administrative and library duties as required

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organised and attentive to detail
  • Builds positive, respectful relationships with children and adults
  • Is confident with technology and willing to learn new systems
  • Can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Brings energy, initiative and a genuine love of reading and learning

A Library Technician qualification or relevant experience in a school or library setting is desirable. However, we warmly invite applications from those who may not yet hold formal qualifications but are willing to learn and if required, undertake appropriate training.
