Role Description/Criteria
At Emmaus Catholic Primary School, the care, safety and wellbeing of every child is a central and fundamental responsibility of our community.
We seek applicants who are committed to nurturing the whole child — spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
This teaching role is ideal for educators who are open to new learning, willing to take thoughtful risks, and eager to share their knowledge and pedagogy as part of a collaborative team.
Our staff have significantly strengthened instructional practice through the application of the Science of Learning and explicit instruction. Emmaus has been recognised for its strategic implementation of the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement. Teachers are well supported in this evidence-informed approach through sustained professional learning and instructional coaching within their classrooms.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a calm and orderly environment that supports student wellbeing and maximises learning.
In addition, the successful applicant will demonstrate:
- a commitment to the Catholic ethos and the principles of Catholic teaching, with an ability to contribute to the school’s vision and culture
- a strong commitment to child safety, including adherence to the Emmaus Child Safe Policy and Staff Code of Conduct (available on our website)
The successful applicant will join a vibrant, supportive staff and a dynamic school community.
Please note, we may begin the interview process earlier for the right applicant.
