Role Description/Criteria

St Carlo Acutis Catholic Primary School is a new and growing school community in Wollert West that commenced operating at the start of 2025. In 2026, we have rapidly increased in student enrolments and have welcomed students across all year levels from Foundation to Year Six.

We are seeking an inspiring Curriculum Leader and passionate Foundation Teacher to join our vibrant primary school community. This dual role is ideal for an educator who thrives on leading whole-school improvement while remaining deeply connected to classroom practice.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will guide curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment across the school, while teaching and nurturing our learners as they begin their educational journey.

About the Role

  • Curriculum Leadership — Lead whole-school curriculum planning, documentation and implementation aligned to the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Instructional Coaching — Support teachers through modelling, mentoring and collaborative planning.
  • Data-Informed Practice — Drive evidence-based improvement using assessment data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Foundation Classroom Teaching — Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs for Foundation students.
  • Community Engagement — Build strong partnerships with families to support student wellbeing, connection and learning.

About You

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Teaching expertise with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices.
  • Leadership capability and experience leading teams or curriculum initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, assessment practices and responsive teaching.
  • A commitment to inclusive education, student wellbeing and a collaborative school culture.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
