Role Description/Criteria

At Mercy College Coburg, we believe that a well-run, compliant and people-centred organisation is the backbone of an excellent school. Our HR and Compliance Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring our staff are supported, our systems are sound, and our College community can focus on what matters most — the students.

We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented and proactive HR and Compliance Administrator to join our team on an ongoing basis commencing Term Three. This is a flexible role working term time only with the option to work school hours.

About the role:

•Deliver end-to-end HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding

•Maintain the College’s risk and compliance frameworks, including policies, procedures and mandatory training registers

•Manage staff records, leave entitlements and employee data in ICON/VCEA with accuracy and confidentiality

•Support the Principal and Senior Leadership with compliance monitoring, internal audits and OHS administration

•Contribute to a well-organised, people-centred culture within the College

We are looking for someone who:

•Is an experienced HR administrator with a passion for supporting people and getting the details right

•Brings strong organisational skills, advanced ICT capabilities and a high degree of confidentiality

•Has relevant HR qualifications and experience in a medium to large organisation — experience in an educational setting is highly regarded

•Is proactive, adaptable and confident working autonomously with minimal supervision and taking direction when required

•Holds a current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and First Aid Certificate

Why Mercy College Coburg?

•A welcoming and values-driven Catholic school community guided by Compassion, Excellence, Hospitality and Justice

•Supportive leadership and a collaborative, collegiate staff culture

•An opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a school where staff and students truly matter
